Eight Shipbuilding Clusters Planned Under Maritime Vision 2047

India will establish eight shipbuilding clusters under the Maritime India Vision 2030 and 2047 to boost its global shipbuilding share and domestic maritime strength. Five greenfield sites are planned in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, while brownfield expansions are targeted in Gujarat and Kerala. State-led SPVs will implement the projects on pre-approved land with road and rail links. A ?25,000 crore Maritime Development Fund and policy incentives will support infrastructure, investment, and technology transfer in this sector.
