GRSE emerges L1 bidder for Indian Navy’s next-gen corvettes

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) has emerged as the lowest bidder for constructing five out of eight next generation corvettes (NGCs) for the Indian Navy. The bids were opened during the Commercial Negotiation Committee meeting held by the Ministry of Defence on 21 May 2025. GRSE is set to be awarded the contract, valued at over Rs. 25,000 crore.
