GAIL nears completion of Urja Ganga gas pipeline

GAIL has completed 97.6% of the 3,306-km Jagdishpur-Haldia-Bokaro-Dhamra natural gas pipeline, with 96.6% of the network already operational. Spanning six states, the Urja Ganga project supplies 12.26 million standard cubic metres per day of gas to refineries, fertiliser plants, and 32 city gas distribution networks. While most sections are functional, the Durgapur-Haldia and Dhamra-Haldia stretches remain partially complete, with full commissioning expected soon.
