Indian Oil Corporation to Invest ?21,000 Crore in Expanding Barauni Refinery and CNG Network in Bihar

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is set to invest over Rs 21,000 crore in Bihar, with Rs 16,000 crore earmarked for expanding its Barauni refinery to 9 million tonnes per annum from the current 6 million tonnes, along with a new petrochemical plant. The expansion is scheduled for completion by end-2025. Additionally, IOC will invest Rs 5,600 crore in establishing a CNG retail network and supplying piped cooking gas to households and industries across 27 cities in Bihar.
