Karnataka Plans Rs. 1.2 Lakh Crore Infrastructure Overhaul

The Karnataka government has announced a Rs. 1.2 lakh crore infrastructure plan to resolve Bengalurus traffic congestion and road issues. The overhaul includes Metro extensions, new ring roads, elevated corridors, tunnel roads, and white-topping 500 km of roads at Rs. 4,000 crore. A 117 km business corridor and 113 km elevated network are part of the plan. The government has also allocated Rs. 1,800 crore for 83 roads to ensure long-term urban improvement.
