Kasaragod BESS project to be commissioned ahead of schedule
Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI)
The Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Kasaragod, Kerala, is progressing ahead of schedule and is expected to be commissioned before the next summer. Developed under a PPP model, the project aims to improve grid stability and manage peak-hour power demand. Kerala also plans to implement additional BESS projects, including a 125 MW/500 MWh system, following an MoU between KSEB and SECI to enhance the states energy resilience.
