Maharashtra allocates Rs. 150 crore for rail project

The Maharashtra government has sanctioned an additional Rs. 150 crore for the AhilyanagarBeedParli Vaijnath Broad Gauge Railway Project, raising the states total contribution to Rs. 2,091 crore. The 261 km line, costing Rs. 4,805 crore, is jointly funded by the Centre and state. The states share totals Rs. 2,402 crore. The project aims to enhance connectivity, attract investment, and support economic development in Beed district. The first section will be operational by mid-September 2025.
