Mumbai-Goa Highway Upgrade to Complete by March 2026
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI)
The 466 km four-lane Mumbai-Goa Highway, connecting Panvel to Sindhudurg, is in its final construction stage and is expected to be operational by March 2026. The upgraded corridor will reduce travel time from 12–13 hours to about six hours and incorporate modern tolling systems with satellite tracking and automatic plate recognition. The project aims to improve regional connectivity, boost tourism, and support economic growth across Maharashtra’s Konkan region.
