NPG Reviews Rail Connectivity Projects Under GatiShakti

The 105th meeting of the Network Planning Group reviewed multiple railway infrastructure projects under the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan to enhance multimodal connectivity and logistics efficiency. Key proposals included third and fourth railway lines between Arakkonam–Renigunta and Guntakal–Bellary, track doubling between Erode–Karur and Salem–Karur–Dindigul, expansion of Yadadri–Kazipet and Ghatkesar–Yadadri sections in Telangana, and an electrified multi-tracking line between Talegaon and Uruli in Maharashtra. The projects are aimed at easing congestion, increasing freight capacity, reducing travel time, and supporting industrial growth.
