NPG Reviews Rail Connectivity Projects Under GatiShakti

The 105th meeting of the Network Planning Group reviewed multiple railway infrastructure projects under the PM GatiShakti National Master Plan to enhance multimodal connectivity and logistics efficiency. Key proposals included third and fourth railway lines between ArakkonamRenigunta and GuntakalBellary, track doubling between ErodeKarur and SalemKarurDindigul, expansion of YadadriKazipet and GhatkesarYadadri sections in Telangana, and an electrified multi-tracking line between Talegaon and Uruli in Maharashtra. The projects are aimed at easing congestion, increasing freight capacity, reducing travel time, and supporting industrial growth.
