Pavagada Water Supply Programme to Benefit 1,138 Villages and Two Towns

The Pavagada Multi-Village Water Supply Programme, led by the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, will soon provide water to 1,138 villages and two towns across Ballari, Chitradurga, and Tumakuru districts. Utilizing Tungabhadra backwaters, the scheme aims to serve 17.21 lakh people, with completion nearing 95% in various regions including Chilkannahatti, Kudligi, Molakalmuru, Challakere, Turavanur, and Pavagada. The project targets supplying 85 litres per person per day in rural areas and 135 litres per person per day in urban areas.
