PGCIL Wins Inter-Regional Transmission Project for SR–WR Grid

Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has been declared the successful bidder for the Inter-Regional Strengthening between SR Grid and WR Grid project under the tariff-based competitive bidding route. The inter-state transmission system will be implemented on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis. The project involves constructing 765 kV double-circuit transmission lines across Karnataka and Maharashtra, along with associated line bays at both ends. PGCIL received the letter of intent on 29 September 2025.
