Maharashtra clears land policy for Third Mumbai

The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved a land acquisition and allotment policy for the Third Mumbai project within the Atal Setu influence zone. To be implemented by the New Town Development Authority and MMRDA, the framework enables land procurement through mutual consent or statutory compensation routes. The policy aims to accelerate planned urbanisation, industrial investment, logistics hubs, and integrated residential and commercial developments, supporting structured expansion in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
